SHA offers a wide variety of services to the residents.
Each Building has a Tenant Association. Activities vary
from building to building to meet the individual needs
and desires of each development. Many of the Senior
buildings have Computers in their Community Rooms. There
is a Computer Lab at the Mystic Activity Center, which
serves both the family developments at Mystic as well
as the larger community. The Clarendon development also
hosts the Clarendon Computer Lab at 268 Alewife Brook
Parkway.
Each
Building in our Developments is connected with
a Resident Services Coordinator. Beth Munroe-Howe
oversees the Resident Services Department. Beth
can let you know who your Service Coordinator
is, and hook you up with any needed services. We
have
a collaborative relationship with many city agencies.
We work closely with Somerville-Cambridge Elder
Services, Somerville Mental Health, as well as
the Council on Aging. If you are a Senior or
Disabled individual and you find you could use some
additional
help, please contact Beth or your Resident Services
Coordinator. Sometimes you may not know what
services you need. Our staff is available to help
you figure
out what will help you live a more comfortable
life. We can assist you in finding the appropriate
services for you. Our staff is also involved
with the Youth Workers’ Network to keep us
abreast of the most up-to-date resources available
for
our youth.
Please see the resources below,
which can direct to some of the myriad of services
and
agencies
that are available to you. Do not hesitate
to contact Beth at Resident Services or Vicki at
the Mystic
Activity Center. We are here to help you.
